French Montana: Kanye West Is 'Doing Great,' This Is 'Just Another Hurdle’
Yeezy is on the road to recovery. French Montana said in a new interview that his pal Kanye West’s health has improved after the “Famous” rapper’s recent hospitalization.
“He's doing great. He's a, he's a strong guy,” Montana, 32, told Entertainment Tonight at the GQ Men of the Year party in Los Angeles Thursday, December 8. “He’s been through a lot and you know, this is just another hurdle in the way, you know what I'm saying? I mean, I love everything he been doing, man. I feel like he’s speaking the truth, you know what I'm saying? I'm with him, that's my big brother.”
Asked if he had been in touch with his ex-girlfriend Khloé Kardashian or any member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan since West’s health scare, Montana — who previously collaborated with Ye on his 2016 single “Figure It Out” — replied, “Yeah, I mean, I love them all. They’re all my friends forever — for life. That's my family, you know, forever.”
As previously reported, West was released from the hospital Wednesday, November 30. His release comes after the hip-hop star sought treatment for more than a week after being hospitalized for extreme exhaustion, dehydration and what his doctor, Michael Farzam, described in a 911 call as “temporary psychosis.”
A newly blond-haired West was spotted in public for the first time since his hospital stint at an art exhibit in L.A. Thursday, December 8. “K is in da house,” artist Giovanni Bassan captioned an Instagram pic of the fashion designer sitting with his hands in his lap while appearing to be backstage at MOCA's Pacific Design Center.
