The Kardashians Trademark Issue With Blac Chyna Was a Simple Mix-Up
Blaming it on the lawyers. The Kardashians told Blac Chyna that their trademark issue was a “simple mix-up,” TMZ reports.
Earlier this month, Kim, Khloé and Kourtney Kardashians’ companies filed documents to oppose their future sister-in-law, Chyna, from trademarking her married name, Angela Renee Kardashian. The papers — revealed yesterday, December 8 — stated that the sisters’ companies would “suffer irreparable injury to their reputation and goodwill if the opposed mark is allowed to register.”
Sources close to Blac Chyna told TMZ that Kim, Khloé and Kourtney reached out to their brother Rob Kardashian’s fiancée to explain that their attorneys were following standard procedure to oppose anyone who tries to register Kardashian as a trademark. They were “not singling her out,” TMZ says.

The website also reports that matriarch Kris Jenner personally assured Chyna that there’s no feud and is calling off the lawyers from pursuing the issue. However, the Rob & Chyna star’s trademark has still not been approved.
As previously reported, the reality stars want to straighten out the situation peacefully. “Chyna filing and using their last name takes some time and discussion,” an insider told Us. “They are hoping to resolve it amicably, the girls, because they do love Chyna. The girls are just protecting their interests because that is their brand. It’s a complicated business issue.”
Although Chyna, 28, is not yet a Kardashian, she and Rob, 29, are planning to tie the knot soon. They welcomed their first child together, Dream, November 10. “Best thing that has ever happened to me in my life,” the Arthur George sock designer gushed of his infant Tuesday, December 6.
