Ruggedman
The rapper joins Nigerians in calling on the EFCC to get the culprits prosecuted.
Nigerian rapper, Ruggedman has told the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) it only amounts to an incomplete job if Nigerians get to see recovered money without the culprits getting arrested or prosecuted.
This comes after the EFCC found $43.4m, £27,800 and N23.8m cash in a building in Ikoyi, Lagos.
And in an Instagram post, Ruggedman said, ‘I for one, am tired of stories of millions being recovered by the EFCC. I want to hear about the culprits going to jail for their crimes.
‘I am tired of excuses from our leaders. How is it helping Nigeria? Where is all the money they have recovered? What is the money being used for? I don’t know if EFCC gets a percentage or if the whistle blower gets a percentage.’
He went on to ask, ‘Can’t they use the money to solve some of Nigeria’s problems that we have had since 1960? We are a country of great natural and human resources but greed and hunger has been our greatest obstacle.’
