A 19-year-old girl has miraculously survived a train ‘knock-down after a goods train ran her over while she was chatting on her mobile phone.
The girl, identified as Pratiksha Natekar, who was walking on the railway tracks, was wearing headphones and did not hear a goods train thundering down the tracks towards her.
She tried to get to the platform and tried to get out of the way of the train but the train hit her and ran her over. By the time the driver could apply the brakes, one wagon of the train had already passed over her.
Miraculously, Pratiksha survived and was pulled out by shocked bystanders. Natekar has suffered a minor eye injury in the incident.
